Sample Itinerary *

Day 1 – Arrival in Asheville, settling in and freshly cooked dinner together. Opening circle to share goals and intentions for the week and get to know one another.

Day 2 – Wake up with morning yoga before eating a deliciously prepared  breakfast. We’ll head to a flat pool on the French Broad River to introduce and/or refine (depending on your skill level) flatwater SUP skills. After paddling we’ll enjoy a bag lunch by the river. After lunch you’ll have free time to relax and/or explore downtown Asheville before a late afternoon SUP Yoga class on the river.  Dinner and free time cap off the evening.

Day 3 – Morning yoga to start the day followed by a nourishing breakfast. We then head to the popular floating section of the French Broad through town where we experience the fun of moving water and Class I rapids!  This section winds its way through the River Arts District and we’ll enjoy lunch (on your own) in that eclectic part of town. After lunch we’ll have down time to be able to browse the River Arts District and downtown Asheville. A late afternoon paddle will bring the day to a close before enjoying a delicious dinner.

Day 4 – Yoga is good to our sore muscles and gets us moving for a day of whitewater SUP on the Tuckaseegee River (if skill levels and river levels permit – if not we can paddle on the French Broad again!). After breakfast we’ll head to the river that is about 50 minutes outside of Asheville in the Great Smoky

Mountains. We’ll take our time and spend the day on the river, enjoy a riverside packed lunch. After the river we’ll browse the artist shops in the small town of Dillsboro, NC before heading back for dinner in Asheville.

Day 5 – After yoga and breakfast, we’ll hit the road for the four hour drive to Charleston, SC and Folly Beach. When we arrive we’ll get settled in and eat lunch.  That afternoon we’ll head out on a boat with our SUPs to a remote beach where we’ll enjoy a late afternoon/sunset paddle followed by a beach dinner.

Day 6 – Yoga starts off our day followed by breakfast. Depending on water and weather conditions, we’ll choose our activities between an intro to sup surf, downwinder or easy paddle on the coast. After we paddle we’ll head into Charleston for lunch (on your own) and have an opportunity to explore downtown. We’ll then head back to the beach for a sunset paddle or a sunset yoga session on the beach followed by dinner.

Day 7 – Our last morning yoga class is followed by a delicious breakfast. This morning we’ll focus on race technique and participate in our own friendly race to test the skills that we’ve worked on all week. For those who don’t want to race, we can head to the surf for a last sup surf lesson. Lunch is followed by free time. Dusk SUP yoga will close the week’s on-water activities and we’ll enjoy our last dinner together.

Day 8 – Say our goodbyes and drop participants off at the airport in Charleston and transport those leaving from Asheville back to the mountains.
