Commonly Asked Questions

I’ve never been on a SUP before. Can I do this?

Yes! We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and friendly environment for newbies. We split the group on the first day

according to skill level so that everyone gets the attention and level of instruction they need. On the distance paddles we offer different options so you can paddle a shorter or longer distance. We’re here to support you!

I love SUPing and I’m looking for adventure and challenge. Is this week right for me?

Yes! More advanced paddlers get to work on skills development from day 1. There are two intros to paddle surfing and more advanced paddlers can paddle longer distances. Anna and Casi have 47 years of paddling experience between the

two of us! We’ve got you covered.

What is the daily activity level like?

We start the morning with a gentle yoga class on the beach. We paddle once per day for between 1 – 3 hours (depending on yourstamina and skill level). There may be a day where we do a SUP yoga class and then also paddle a short distance. We usually paddle after breakfast and then have free time in the afternoon, but there are days, depending on the conditions when we’ll paddle in the afternoon.

What are the sleeping arrangements like?

The trip price is based on shared room double occupancy. There are four rooms with two double beds in each. Two of those rooms have their own bathroom and two share a hall bathroom. There’s also a large ocean front master suite with a king bed and a bathroom with two showers. This is a great room for good friends coming together who don’t mind sharing a large bed. We assign rooms on a first come first serve basis so the sooner you register the better choice you get.

Prefer a private room with bath? We can do that too. We offer a single supplement price.

I’d be traveling solo. How are the group dynamics?

We love and welcome solo travelers! We host a mix of groups and solo travelers. In our experience, you may come as a solo traveler, but you leave with a whole group of new friends and SUP sisters!

What is the group size?

We accommodate a maximum group size of 9 participants. We like the camp to be small and personable.

Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions?

Yes, our chef, Willis does a wonderful job with dietary restrictions such as vegan and gf. As Kellie, our vegan participant last year wrote: “I ate like a queen!”

Do you provide all the gear or do I have to bring my own?

We provide all of the paddling gear you need including board, PFD, leash, paddle and SUP yoga anchors. You bring your paddling clothes and other personal items and you’re all set!

I’d really love to join this trip, but it feels selfish to take money and a week for myself. Especially when I have responsibilities at home and/or at work.

I hear you, I really do. Let me ask you this… Is feeling uninspired, stressed and tired helping you get optimal results in your life? Is it selfish to take care of yourself so you can thrive in your roles at work and at home? Investing in your wellbeing, both mental and physical isn’t selfish, it’s intelligent. Taking care of yourself contributes to a lot more people than just you.

What isn’t included in the trip?

The following items aren’t included in your trip price:

  • Airfare
  • Alcohol
  • Tips and gratuities
