Are You the Hero of Your Story?

“I wish it need not happen in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf,”and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

In these unprecedented times that require courageous action, we can take inspiration from the courageous heroes and guides of classic stories that we love.

These heroes take courageous action in the face of changing circumstances, life-threatening danger, journeys that seem impossible, and the loss of family and friends. They’re actions stem from a calling that is greater than themselves.

Right now, who are you choosing to be? The hero or the coward of your story?
