Ladies Southeast Paddling Series – Pigeon

Anna's Group PhotoSaturday on the Pigeon River 19 women gathered in the sunshine to celebrate Shannon’s memory. With paddle games, surf stops, stern squirts and splashes, we whisked around the water way. Dropping down eddy by eddy, surf stop by surf stop, everyone had a buddy to cheer and congratulate as after each surf, squirt, ender or roll, ladies came up smiling.

A huge Thank you to Dave Crawford and Rapid Expeditions for donating time to run our shuttle on a busy weekend morning! Arriving back at our cars, we found a pocket of shade for our raffle. Ladies walked away with some sweet swag this week including a Patagonia handbag and hat, Dagger shirt, Kokatat top, Werner hats and a $150 Girls at Play gift certificate!

Everyone also was able to purchase tickets for the big end of the season raffle. There are some serious prizes: a Dagger kayak of choice, Werner paddle, Kokatat Drysuit, a trip to Ecuador with Anna Levesque and Juliet Kastorff, a Jennifer Whitlock Glasswork piece, a Becca Day Stain-glass piece and more! Winners will be drawn and prizes claimed at the last event of the series on October 1st with a finale celebration at Endless River Adventures.
