JUST ADDED – Novice Whitewater Weekend Oct. 15-16

Due to popular demand, we’ve decided to add an additional novice whitewater weekend October 15-16!  The clinic will be based in Asheville, and we will paddle a two different rivers in the Western North Carolina area.

This clinic is designed for women who have minimal to zero whitewater experience.  We start from ground zero, talking about gear, the wet exit, basic strokes and river maneuvers.  We’ll even cover topics commonly overlooked, such as how to carry your kayak, how to get into your boat and outfit it properly, and how to safely secure it to your vehicle when driving.  There’s also a huge emphasis on building confidence, and challenging yourself in a supportive and nurturing environment.

You’ll leave the weekend with new friends, and a love for the river which will leave you wanting more!  For those of you who would like to focus in on technique, you’ll have plenty to work on as you progress towards becoming an intermediate kayaker as well.
