New Girls at Play Whitewater Instructional DVD in Production!

unknownI’m excited to announce that I’ve started production on my new whitewater instructional DVD for women!  It’s hard to believe that it’s already been six years since Girls at Play and four years since Whitewater Kayaking Basics for Women.  I’ve evolved as an instructor and a paddler since then and I feel that it’s time to produce the best, most comprehensive instructional DVD for women in whitewater ever!  This video will have new skills and techniques that didn’t appear in my previous DVDs.  There will be fun extras including inspirational interviews, photo galleries and more!  The instruction will be tailored to all levels from beginner easygoing river paddlers to serious class IV whitewater paddlers.unknown-3

Spencer Cooke of Rapid Transit is filming and editing the project that we’ve started shooting on rivers and lakes here in Western North Carolina.  I’m still not sure of the new title, but I’ll be giving periodic updates on the project here and you can look for it in stores and online in the spring of 2010.

I want to send out a big thanks to my sponsors who are supporting the DVD and supporting women in kayaking:  The Nantahala Outdoor Center, Kokatat and Shred Ready Helmets.  Also, thanks to all of the women who are taking the time to come out and paddle for the camera!
